Dear Camden Neighbors:
I wanted to let everyone know to keep an extra eye out for suspicious activity and noises in the night. Early this morning (I think between 1 & 2 am) some of our neighbors were victims of vandalism.
I have visited with some of our neighbors on Pennsylvania Ave. to get a better idea of what happened. A number of cars were vandalized - tires slashed and cars ransacked (it seems like 12 or more) - on Pennsylvania, Federal and possibly Virginia Avenues.
Large flower pots were also thrown through the window of one of the historic homes on the corner of Pennsylvania and Camden.
In the past, it has often been our vigilance as neighbors that has resulted in the apprehension of criminals who perpetrate criminal acts such as this upon our neighborhood.
If you see or hear anything suspicious please listen to the little voice that says "something's amiss" and call the Salisbury Police. If you don't feel comfortable calling 911, use the non-emergency number 410-548-3165. If you aren't comfortable calling the police call my house and we will call for you 410-860-0893.
One of our great strengths as a neighborhood is our willingness to work together. I have already activated the phone tree tonight. If you know of other neighbors who aren't on the e-mail list or who don't have internet access, please pass this along to improve the safety of the neighborhood and preserve our quality of lives.
Thanks.
Debbie Campbell
